Boone, NC trip

For our anniversary we wanted some time away but didn't want to risk traveling by airplane just yet. Boone was perfect as we felt like we were far away but it was only a 2 hour drive from Charlotte. We got into town early before check in and decided to check out Black Cat Burrito which was a funky little spot with huge portions!

We rented a house from airbnb and it was perfect for families! It was huge with two master suites and a room with two sets of bunk beds with a second living area and a pool table. I will say our favorite part was the hot tub on the deck! We spent most of our time here πŸ˜‚ Stairway to Heaven

For our first night, we decided to order food to the house and hear great things about Come Back Shack
By the time the food got to us it was cold but honestly still so good! Definitely recommend if you can get it while it's hot because I'm sure it's even better hot 😍

For our anniversary dinner we headed into Blowing Rock, NC. I'm not going to lie, the drive down the mountain was pretty scary-- it was raining pretty heaving with thick fog and total darkness
😱 but we made it πŸ˜… We ate at the Best Cellar which is part of the Inn at Ragged Gardens which is so quaint. We sat downstairs in what felt like a cave! They also had a wine cellar you can reserve which was so cool.

Sweater (dress) sized up to a sm | Shoes | Bag | Coat option

I ordered the duck which was perfect and my husband got the pork chop which was huge! We finished the meal with flourless chocolate cake and a warm apple crisp which were both divine 🀀

On our way out of town we stopped at Sunrise Grill which was probably the safest I've felt at any restaurant in NC so far! The staff were so nice and they served all the traditional breakfast foods as well as some specialty coffee drinks which was unexpected!
