Happy Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is such an important month for so many reasons- it's really when all of the great fall activities begin, with halloween rounding out the end of the month. It's a time to whip out our fall attire (since September is generally still hot), and we get ready for the holidays to come. However, October is also very important because it's breast cancer awareness month. I know so many people have been personally impacted by breast cancer, so it's so important that we continue the fight for a cure

Unfortunately, I don't work on breast cancer in my current role, but I can tell you there are lots of dedicated scientists that are seeking any way possible to cure all types of breast cancer, and stop this fight for good. And since I am unable to fight this fight in my day to day work activities, I sought out other avenues to support this cause. 

I purchased this T-shirt from Forever 21 through their Forever 21 x Stand Up to Cancer collection. Every item purchased between now and October 31st, Forever 21 will donate 20% of the purchase price of any item in this collection to Stand Up to Cancer. I'm including the link for this organization below. 

As for this shirt, I love the graphic and color, it's a great conversation starter and the inclusivity of the graphic is just plain awesome. I can't wait to wear it throughout the year. This collection has many different pieces available, with some styles in plus size as well. My shirt is only available in plus size at the moment, but they have other shirts (I've linked another T-shirt below) as well as sweatshirts, face masks, and sweatpants. There's a few days left to purchase one of these items so that Forever 21 donates a portion of the proceeds!

Let's hope that the next time October rolls around, we are one step closer to a cure!
